How You Can Help

"Each year St George’s helps hundreds of thousands of people, my grandmother was one of those people. Volunteering for the Friends helps me say thank you for the care she received.” - Liz Trend.

Shop & Trolley Services

Volunteer

The work we do across the hospital is supported by the income generated by our shop and trolley services, together with membership subscriptions. Our membership is only £10.00 a year, and helps us support the patients and staff of this hospital. It is easy, you can do it today, and as the saying goes ‘You can never have too many Friends’ The Friends gift shop is located on the ground floor of Lanesborough Wing and is open Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm and 12.30pm to 5pm on a Saturday. The shop is the heart of the Friends, without it we would probably be unable to continue. So please do pop in and have a look around, you will be surprised to see what we have available in such a small space. The sweet and tea trolley services go to the wards and outpatients clinics throughout the week. Time is an invaluable resource to the Friends. Can you spare a little? Taking a trolley around the ward, or are you a member of a knitting group that would like to knit babywear for us to sell in our gift shop? Volunteering is very important to any charity, and if you feel you are able to spare some time please do get in touch.
